A short message from the new principal of Lighthouse International Primary School:
Greetings to Lighthouse Families,
I hope that all parents/guardians and students are doing very well. It is a pleasure to be back in Phuket, in Thailand, and certainly back at Lighthouse International School, Rawai – Elementary Campus. My name is Dean Wallis and I will be assuming the role of Principal of our campus; hopefully successfully “filling the shoes” of Mr. Arnold Spangenberg who has returned to his home country of South Africa.
I know that it may present a challenge for us all to assume this role at this time of the school year. I am ready for this undertaking and look forward to meeting and knowing our families, and learning about your hopes and dreams for your children for this school year and beyond.
I can assure you that my primary focus will be on the healthy growth of all of our students and to ensure that we are best meeting their academic, social and emotional needs as growing children, according to our curricular standards.
I am from Vancouver, Canada, have a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. I worked in both public and private education for thirty years, and completed a program from Harvard University in the US in School Management and Leadership.
I look forward to our growth together as an inspired learning community.
